Express Entry PR
Express Entry is Canada's main system for skilled workers to become permanent residents. Your profile is ranked by the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), and the highest-ranked candidates are invited to apply. We help you maximise your score and submit a complete, accurate application.
Overview
What you need to know
Express Entry manages applications for three federal economic programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Program. Eligible candidates create an online profile and receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on age, education, language ability, work experience and other factors.
IRCC holds regular draws from the pool. Some draws are general, while others target specific categories such as healthcare, trades, education or French-language ability. If you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you have a limited time to submit a complete permanent residence application with all supporting documents.
Small details can change your score — or cause a refusal after an ITA. That's why we review your profile carefully before it goes into the pool: we check your work experience against the correct NOC code, plan your language tests and make sure your documents support every claim in your profile.

Avoid refusals
Common mistakes to avoid
Many refusals come from avoidable errors. These are the ones we see most often — and help our clients avoid.
- Claiming work experience under the wrong NOC code or TEER category
- Experience letters that are missing duties, hours or salary details
- Letting language test results expire before the application is complete
- Not declaring family members or previous visa refusals
- Proof of funds that doesn't meet the requirement or isn't documented properly
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What CRS score do I need?
Cut-off scores change with every draw and depend on the draw category. We calculate your current score and show you realistic ways to improve it.
Do I need a job offer?
No. A job offer is not mandatory for Express Entry, although it can help in some cases.
How long is a profile valid?
An Express Entry profile stays in the pool for up to 12 months, after which you can create a new one.
Can I include my spouse in my application?
Yes. Your spouse's education, language and work experience can affect your CRS score. We calculate your score both ways to see which is better.
How long are language test results valid?
For Express Entry, language test results are valid for two years from the test date and must be valid when you create your profile and when you submit your application.
What happens after I receive an ITA?
You submit a complete PR application within the deadline, including police certificates, medical exams and proof of funds. Planning these documents early saves a lot of stress.
