Work Permit
A Canadian work permit lets you gain Canadian experience, earn in dollars and build a path towards permanent residence. Whether you have a job offer or qualify for an open work permit, we prepare your application carefully from start to finish.
Overview
What you need to know
Most foreign nationals need a work permit to work in Canada. There are two main types: employer-specific permits, which tie you to one employer and job, and open work permits, which let you work for almost any employer in Canada.
Employer-specific permits usually require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), which shows the employer could not find a Canadian worker for the job. Some jobs are LMIA-exempt under trade agreements or other categories. Open work permits are available to specific groups, such as eligible spouses and recent graduates of Canadian institutions.
Fake job offers are a serious risk. We never sell jobs or LMIAs, and we always advise clients to verify their employer. When you have a genuine job offer, we make sure your application clearly shows you are qualified for the role and will follow the conditions of your permit.

Avoid refusals
Common mistakes to avoid
Many refusals come from avoidable errors. These are the ones we see most often — and help our clients avoid.
- Paying an agent or employer for a job offer or LMIA — a major warning sign of fraud
- Work experience that doesn't match the duties of the offered job
- Missing proof of qualifications or licences required for the occupation
- Applying for the wrong type of work permit
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can you get me a job in Canada?
We do not sell jobs or LMIAs. If you have a genuine job offer, we prepare a strong work permit application around it.
Can my family come with me on a work permit?
Depending on your job and current rules, your spouse may be eligible for an open work permit and your children for study permits.
Can a work permit lead to PR?
Yes. Canadian work experience can help you qualify through Express Entry or a provincial nominee program.
How do I know if a job offer is genuine?
A genuine employer will never ask you to pay for a job or an LMIA. Check the company exists, the job details are realistic and the offer matches the LMIA. We help you review any offer before you apply.
