Provincial Nominee Program
Each Canadian province runs its own nominee program to attract workers, graduates and entrepreneurs it needs. A provincial nomination can add significant points to an Express Entry profile or lead to PR through a direct stream. We match your profile to the right province and stream.
Overview
What you need to know
Most Canadian provinces and territories run a Provincial Nominee Program (Quebec has its own separate selection system). Each program is designed around local labour needs, so a province may welcome occupations or profiles that would struggle in general Express Entry draws.
Some PNP streams are “enhanced” and linked to Express Entry: a nomination adds a large number of CRS points and usually leads to an invitation. Others are “base” streams, where you apply to the province first and then submit your permanent residence application to IRCC separately.
Provincial programs change often — streams open and close, occupation lists are updated and selection criteria shift. We keep track of these changes and match your profile to the streams where you have a realistic chance.

Avoid refusals
Common mistakes to avoid
Many refusals come from avoidable errors. These are the ones we see most often — and help our clients avoid.
- Applying to a province you don't genuinely intend to live in
- Missing short application windows when streams open
- Job offers that don't meet the stream's wage or duration requirements
- Choosing a stream without checking whether your occupation is eligible
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Can I apply to more than one province?
Yes, you can express interest in more than one province, but you should only accept a nomination from a province you genuinely intend to live in.
Do I need a job offer for PNP?
Some streams require a job offer and some don't. We find streams that fit your situation.
How long does PNP take?
Timelines vary by province and stream, and then by federal processing. We give you a realistic estimate for your chosen route.
What's the difference between enhanced and base nominations?
An enhanced nomination is linked to your Express Entry profile and adds CRS points. A base nomination is outside Express Entry, and you then apply to IRCC through a separate PR application.
Does a provincial nomination guarantee PR?
No. A nomination is a major step, but IRCC still checks your eligibility, medicals and background before approving permanent residence.
